Ordinary

I wrote and drew this quickly, just as an experiment.

Outtake.
I lost a lot when I added the wild cookie as a backdrop to the drawing. Less is more? So I used Photoshop to restore some of the simplicity.

Hello Caroline...
Baking cookies must be fun... I have never tried it for once in my life... :D

Great artwork as always Caroline... You really do magic with crayons... :D

Looks like you and Charlotte enjoyed your time together and made a memory as well as something yummy. Maybe that accounts for the "extra" in extraordinary?

Great post, as always! I always look forward to what you'll share next. :)

I agree that less was more on the cookie thing. I also think it's amazing that you are able to make the changes with photoshop! I guess art is art, whether on the paper or on the computer!

I love your work!

This is a fun one! And I'll bet it was a fun day the two of you had.

I wish I knew what to do with Photo Shop.

Hi Caroline,
Cookies are fun to do with kids. We put them all back on the cookie sheets, when cool and hold spoons up and drizzle frosting all over...like yours ..all different colors. Some of it gets on their hands and runs down their faces...Rainbow faces...LOL

These images are fantastic. The overhead view - so good! You are a good sport to allow such elaborate cooking making :o)

Mary

P.S. I'm enjoying your personal comments at the end of your post.

I LOVE baking cookies, and always frustrated my mom with the mess I made (and now Andrew laughs at me while I spill and create a chaotic flour-y mess!).
I like both versions of the brilliant colours... but then I love lots of colour :)
(ps- I hope you're feeling better!) :) Blessings!

Now I'm really hungry for cookies. Frosted cookies are my favorite.

I don't know, Caroline. I love your pictures when they are full. Or maybe what I'm loving is when you make regular size things HUGE. Especially when they are added to a tableaux of regular-sized things.

I love it when you make me think. :)

I vote for the wild cookie! It's charming and fun, and once in awhile more IS more. But I love the exuberance of the post--and definitely want one of those cookies!

That's amazing ... nothing ordinary about it -- you are an artist, if not genius!
