Sunday Night

This is a true story about defying the Sunday evening blues. Only the pajama colors have been changed to protect the innocent.

Two favorite bloggers inspired this post.

Please make this cake using any kind of fruit. It takes 5 minutes to mix, and then bakes up like a dream.

that looks yummy and what fun to make a late night with a cake. I'll make one tonight, but probably before 10 p.m.!

First of all that's another great illustrated story from the files of your life. It's sweet and colorful.

Second, I love you gals's pajamas.

Third, that cake looks delicious, I hope you made enough for eveyone. I'll be by to pick up my slice later.

And finally, thanks for your kind words about me and my blog. It's so very nice to be recognized by nice people like you. Keep on rockin' my friend and keep on with the lat enight baking as well.

Crayons,
Hmmm. It looks like someone has a new roommate. This made me so happy! My sister and I used to have those same kinds of midnight capers, but never on Sunday night. Darling, I love the color scheme this time -- well every time. The photo at the end is brill.

I've just been catching up on your blog, you just keep getting better and I love your many pictured stories. The eyes on the cat cracked me up, I have a new kitten and I know that look!

I am going to have my caregiver try this recipe, it looks scrumptious. Thank you for sharing as I am on the prowl for new foods that are nourishing, easy to eat and delicious.

You know, while I was down and out and struggling to come back, I could feel you out there cheering me on. You are a dear friend, thank you.

What a great idea for a cookbook! It would be so much more fun and easy with wonderful illustrations like this!

You get the Sunday blues too? Sheesh. They are the pits. Good way to deal with it, and I too will be making that recipe soon.

It reminded me of visiting our friend in Paris, who pulled out a bowl and a plethora of ingredients one evening, no recipe to be seen anywhere, and -- voila -- a cake. I wonder if it was a similar recipe.

I love your illustrations. Found you a couple of weeks ago from Nina at Nature Remains and made your cake with frozen blueberries last Saturday night and absolutely devoured it. There is something so comforting about it. I think it will be a weekly staple for a while. This Saturday, raspberries!
