What a fantastic outing! I loved that movie, I'm curious as to what you found bad. A little snippet of Canadian culture for you. I've lived both in Montreal and Toronto so I found the movie fascinating.

re: the film
Canada fascinates me, so I loved the cultural part -- the schism between the two provinces. The dialogue was excellent and hilarious. However, I objected to the amount of violence, especially when it crossed the line into gratuitous. I also really disliked seeing a sadistic man kidnapping and terrorizing a little girl in a movie that is billed as a comedy. But overall, I liked the movie a lot. I recommend it to anyone.

This was a beautiful adventure. I loved the colorful wide shot of downtown. The restaurant looks so good! Glad you had a good time at the festival.
I also like the perspective of looking up State Street.
If you like Himal Chuli, check out Dobhan. Same family, delicious food on the near east side.
I want to go to that restaurant. You make it look so inviting. Oh, and I love the 'out take.' Very funny!
I feel like I had dinner with y'all! I certainly wish I were close enough to try out that restaurant. Very lovely post, once again. :)
CB - these are amazing!!! david l. just looked and was surprised at the level of your talent. the one of the front door is like a photograph only better because it is filtered through your loving eyes. it's so alive. let's make a date to go there this summer. we always get the same thing. tarkari, brown rice and dal. did you know if you can't decide which tarkari to get, you can ask for two small portions of each? and have you tried their coriander sauce?
