I must have just gotten here just after you posted your newest. Though I don't often leave a comment, I look at Crayons everyday. Not because I think there will be something new (no pressure! though it's wonderful when there is, like today) but because your drawings (and your sensibility) help me see things better. They remind me of important things. So good morning Ms. Caroline on this beautiful foggy day.
Serendipty!!! Amazing, I couldn't wait to find out what that table was saying and it was well worth the wait.
I can't tell you how magical it is to see a casual reference made about Persian poetry come to life into those amazing colors and coincidences as seen and felt through you artist's eye, and steady gifted hand.
See what I mean by that 11:11 serendipity charm, eh? ;) Not such a bad curse, afterall.
And the rendering of the whirling dervish Rumi and grounded Hafiz is brilliant!
Yes, I've been smiling about the Hafez and the gelato all morning.
Your drawings put me in mind of an Iranian who is female and who does illustraions, you remind me of Marjane Satrapi of "Persepolis" fame. That was a neat story, thanks for telling it.
I'm going down to the basement right now to fold laundry. Do you think Hafez will be there to help me?

Suzy, you always have some great comeback! You one-upped me. Yes, I have it in my Moleskine, but it's all out of order because I wrote the story in a non-linear way.
